Smooth Jazz producer, artist, sound engineer and double Grammy winner, Paul Brown pairs with producer, sound engineer, and saxophonist Darren Rahn for an unforgettable evening of contemporary jazz. Before guitarist-composer Paul Brown released his debut album, “Up Front,” his highly successful career as a producer-engineer had Brown producing hits for the best of contemporary jazz artists including George Benson, Larry Carlton and Boney James. Along the way, he has been responsible for steering more than 50 songs to the #1 position on the charts. After universal critical acclaim and months on Billboard and R & R’s Contemporary Jazz charts, his debut, “Up Front” made Brown a star in his own right. Four releases have followed with Brown continuing to collaborate with some of the best musicians in the genre, including a duet album with French guitarist, Marc Antoine. His latest, “Love You Found Me,” has been on the charts since its release in 2010.Canadian born saxophonist Darren Rahn has had numerous #1 Billboard hits as an artist and producer, including his recent smash hit “Talk of the Town.” Rahn and late bassist Wayman Tisdale were known for their energetic collaborations, many of which topped the Billboard charts. Rahn began working behind the scenes producing and writing for other artists. His work with Tisdale in 2004 on the #1 single, “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now,” brought Rahn to the forefront of the industry. That relationship proved pivotal in launching his solo career and enabled him to quickly move from behind the console to center stage. As a producer, he has worked with many other notable artists including Dave Koz, Najee, Jonathan Butler, Toby Keith and Bob James. However, Rahn is quick to admit that playing the saxophone remains his first love.
